Choosing a Double Pushchair Twin
If you have twins you need a double pushchair to get them from A to B. Our range includes twin prams as well as buggies that can be set up in a variety of ways to meet your needs.
Find a pushchair that folds in one step and is easy to lift into your car. You might also want lightweight designs that are easy to maneuver and navigate especially when you have busy streets to navigate.
Side-by-Side
This is the most common double pushchair. It is usually able to accommodate two children side by side. They tend to be wider than single pushchairs, meaning they are less agile on footpaths and can be a little tricky to navigate through kerbs when a car seat is attached. The extra width makes them easier to maneuver through doors, and they are more evenly distributed, so it is easier for you to carry them on your back.
Many models can be used as early as birth as twin prams and accept a carrycot, or two car seats. Some models can be converted to one mode, with a basket beside (like the Cybex Venus).
One of the most excellent examples of this is the Bugaboo Donkey 5 which, in Twin Mode, allows you to place the rear seat and carrycot side-by-side. This creates an entirely enclosed twin space and is ideal for infants. The pram comes with very cool accessories, such as the newborn cocoons that can be positioned either facing forwards or in any direction (for twin-facing prams). It is not as lightweight as some other options but it's incredibly well constructed.
Lightweight
Cybex is renowned for its innovative pushchairs, and the single-to double is no exception. Pushchairs And Prams can be extended to accommodate a second seat. You can use the pushchair as a twin from birth by putting in two cocoons for babies for a total of PS59. These cocoons create lie-flat areas that are enclosed. It can also be used as a mono mode with one child, thanks to a large shopping basket that sits behind the seat. It comes with front and rear suspension which means it can take on bumps and uneven surfaces with ease. It is a top pick from our reviewers.
Available in a variety of fashionable colors.
Tandem
If you're planning to have twins, you need a tandem pushchair that permits the children to be seated together so that they can be able to see each other. They are perfect for visiting the zoo as the children can observe the animals together. These are also great for parents who need to monitor their toddler and baby simultaneously.

Some tandem pushchairs offer extreme versatility as they can change back to single mode. This is especially useful when you are planning to have more than two children (or if your eldest child doesn't require an extra buggy). This means that you won't be left with an empty pushchair to put away and can be expensive.
The Cybex Venus, for example can be used in double or mono mode. The frame can be expanded to accommodate an additional seat. It's not the lightest of pushchairs, but it does come with an enormous shopping basket that sits behind the front seat when in double mode (and in the back of the seat in mono mode). The seats can be positioned to face each other or one could be placed higher up so it can see at the other and see what they are doing.
Other double tandem pushchairs such as the Joolz Geo 3 can seat one on top of the other or side-by-side. The compact, sleek frame makes it easier to maneuver through doorways and aisles in supermarkets. Certain models can be used on rough terrain or as a jogging walk thanks to their wide rear wheels and four-wheel suspension.
Another benefit of a tandem pushchair is that it can often take two carrycots, or a car seat and a buggy seat. You can save money by establishing a travel system at the beginning and not making separate purchases. It's important to keep in mind that tandems can be heavier and longer than single pushchairs, and are less stable when in bumping into kerbs or over uneven surfaces. They also need dismantling in order to fit into cars.
